OTC POLICY for GRADES 6-8th ONLY

St. Aloysius School has revised its OTC policy for grades 6-8.  These changes were made based on guidelines issued by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

Under the new policy, all medications, including OTC medications given by the school nurses must be prescribed by a physician. A parent and/or guardian and physician must complete the “OTC Order Form.”   Without this form, the SAS nurse will not be able to administer any OTC medications for symptoms such as headaches, orthodontia discomfort, and menstrual cramps.  The “OTC Order Form” for the 2016-2017 school year must be returned to the school office by FRIDAY JULY 15, 2016.   A separate form is required for each student.   Parents are always welcome to come to school to administer medications to their children.
