We work on manipulative, non-manipuative, and locomotor skills. Students will be introduced to spatial awareness and have an awareness of others and equipment in relation to themselves.
We participate in activities that develop:
- Hand/eye coordination
- Catching and throwing
- Tranferring weight
- Jumping, Running, Skipping, Chasing, Galloping
We continue to further develop the students' manipulative, non-manipulative, and locomotor skills in order to transfer them to real sports. Additionally, we introduce concepts related to sports such as strategies and tactics. For example, students will understand why moving an opponent forwards and back as well as side to side is important in scoring. Students will comprehend terms and tactics such as accuracy, timing, communication, and faking. We will begin to cover heart rate, physical activity, and nutrition.

We will evolve our knowledge and skills in order to become physically literate individuals. We will continue to learn about light, moderate, and vigorus activity. Our knowledge about our own personal fitness will progress. We will be able to participate in a variety of activities while being respectful of others, ourselves, and our equipment.
We will have units entailing:
- Flag Football
- Wall Ball
