SUMMER MATH:

(For outgoing 7th graders/incoming 8th graders):

For math practice, I have highlighted certain skills on Math IXL that Ms. Morgan, the 8th grade Algebra I teacher has suggested. *Your IXL account usernames and passwords should still work!

The following skills, plus a few more, are highlighted under the 8th grade tab on IXL: 

- Expressions:  V.1, V. 3, V.5, V.9
- Order of Operations:  C.8
- Identifying Numbers:  A.8
- Properties:  V.11, V. 12
- Adding/Subtracting Integers:  C.3
- Multiplying/Dividing Integers:  C.6, C.7
- One and Two-step equations:  W.6, W. 7

SUMMER READING:   OUTGOING 7TH GRADERS/INCOMING 8TH GRADERS

Choose one book from each list. You will be required to read a minimum of two books, but we certainly encourage you to read more. 

These books may be purchased wherever you choose, checked out from the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, read in traditional book form or e-reader. Those with print copies are encouraged to bring them to school in August.
